In the IndianOil Tamil Nadu State Ranking Men Snooker Championship, S Shrikrishna has created history yet again by defending all of his six state titles and is also the only player to win all six state titles for the third consecutive year. In the final he defeated G Prabhu by 5-1 to achieve the mammoth task. In the first frame, Prabhu caught up to the 40 point lead made by Shrikrishna but he made a costly mistake in the end and Shrikrishna cleared the table to win the frame. In the second frame, Shrikrishna made a break of 60 to lead by 2-0. In the third frame both players were evenly poised, which witnessed a good tactical game in last two balls and Prabhu with a good fortune clinched the frame. Shrikrishna replied with a great display of potting in the fourth frame and clinched the frame with a 42 break to lead by 3-1. In the fifth frame, Shrikrishna exhibited great confidence as he constructed a break of 45 to make it 4-1. Shrikrishna wrapped it in the sixth frame as he capitalized on the openings he got and sealed the match by 5-1.
